After Anastasia Samoylova witnessed the structural fallout of Miami Beach after Hurricane Irma, she realized that the reality of a glamorous, lush paradise in Florida was a rapidly cracking veneer in the face of climate emergency. As part of the Chrysler Museum's Living with Rising Waters Symposium, Samoylova will discuss her exhibition FloodZone and talk about capturing a coastal community whose ambitious urban development is constantly overshadowed by encroaching waters.
