Throughout his long career as an artist, Hew Locke has been drawn to using found objects to explore themes of colonialism, trade, and sea travel. In Ghost, a work recently added to the Chrysler collection, Locke beckons the viewer to look closer at the role of naval vessels and the way they have changed the geo-political waterscapes they have traveled to.
