Chrysler Book Club: The Address Book

This event is no longer on sale.

Sunday August 29

3:00 PM  –  4:00 PM

Join the Chrysler Museum of Art as we celebrate our summer exhibition, Alma W. Thomas: Everything Is Beautiful with virtual discussions on books that Alma Thomas may have loved.

In The Address Book: What Street Addresses Reveal About Identity, Race, Wealth, and Power, Deirdre Mask examines the fate of streets named after Martin Luther King, Jr. and the wayfinding means of ancient Romans. She also considers how Nazis haunt the streets of modern Germany and what not having an address means for people around the world, including those who live in the slums of Kolkata and on the streets of London.
