Flameworking: Basics and Beyond with Sally Prasch

In this five-day workshop, students will explore the fascinating techniques of scientific glassblowing while creating a series of unique projects. Participants will learn essential skills including ring, blind, and side seals, applying them directly to individual work scaled to each student’s experience level. Along the way, students will create imaginative objects such as musical instruments, flowers, candle holders, and both solid and hollow chain. This hands-on course offers a rare opportunity to combine precision scientific techniques with artistic expression in glass. At least one year flameworking experience suggested.
