Graphics with Jason Christian
This glass course explores the intersection of pattern, form and surface in contemporary glassmaking. Students will investigate ways to translate graphic and repetitive imagery onto sculptural and functional objects with an emphasis on developing a personal visual language. Through demonstrations and hands-on experimentation, participants will learn techniques for applying pattern to blown and solid forms and consider how surface interacts with volume, light and color. The course encourages curiosity, risk-taking and refinement of individual ideas in a supportive studio environment suitable for a range of skill levels.
