Meet us in New York City for an unforgettable and exclusive experience celebrating art, music, and Gilded Age glamour. Be among the first to see Designing the Gilded Age: Drawings from the Studios of Louis C. Tiffany at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, a dazzling new exhibition exploring the creative vision and artistry behind Tiffany’s legendary works. At the heart of the exhibition is Woman in a Pergola with Wisteria, the stained-glass masterpiece from the Chrysler Museum of Art collection. Program participants will receive a special access tour led by Met Museum staff.

The journey continues by following the legacy of legendary opera star Lillian Nordica, the celebrated singer believed to have inspired the graceful figure portrayed in Woman in a Pergola with Wisteria. After a backstage tour of the Metropolitan Opera House and a meet-and-greet with Suffolk -native, international opera star Ryan Speedo Green, we’ll catch a dazzling performance of Verdi’s opera Macbeth.

Day two features an exclusive tour of the Polish Consulate, once home to Captain De Lemar, who commissioned our Tiffany window. The building maintains its historic interiors from De Lemar’s time, and we will be guided by a member of the consulate staff. Then enjoy free time at the Morgan Library (next door to the consulate) before a special tour of the Church of the Incarnation, which is a repository of Gilded Age art and stained glass.

From luminous stained glass and soaring music to the electric energy of New York City, this one-of-a-kind trip offers the rare chance to walk in the footsteps of the very diva who once captivated audiences there more than a century ago and the man who commissioned a favorite artwork of our collection.
