Together in Justice Book Club: This is What I Know About Art

This event is no longer on sale.

Saturday October 17

3:00 PM  –  4:00 PM

Join us for the first installment in our Together in Justice book club series. Presented in tandem with our fall exhibition Come Together, Right Now, we will discuss powerful books about race and justice. Our first selection, This is What I Know About Art, is great for teenagers and adults. The work by arts writer and activist Kimberly Drew examines the longstanding connection between art and protest. Drawing on her personal experiences with art and activism, Drew challenges us to create space for the change we want to see in the world. School and Teacher Programs Coordinator Cody W. Long will lead the discussion about what we can do to effect change.

Free. Registration is required. A Zoom link will be sent with the confirmation email.

Purchase the book in the Museum Shop or on our Online Shop

We invite you to join us for future installments of the Together in Justice book club. We will discuss:

Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates (November 29)

Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption by Bryan Stevenson (December 12)
